How to Check WAEC Exam Malpractice Status
Candidates concerned about examination malpractice can now check their status using WAEC’s Irregularity Reporting and Invesigation System, an official platform designed to track and manage malpractice cases.
The system provides real-time status updates on examination irregularity for both candidates and schools. Therefore it becomes useful to candidates whose examination results have been “withheld” or affected by suspected irregularities or violations.
Candidates whose results status is “pending” are not relate to these malpractice issues. This is because pending results are commonly linked to registration details, missing information or processing delays and not suspected malpractice. Read more on what to do when WAEC results “pending”.
However, It is important to note that finding an irregularity record on the system does not automatically mean a candidate has been found guilty. WAEC must still conduct a full investigation before taking a final decision on the affected results.

How to Check WAEC Exam Malpractice Status Online
Before checking your status, makes sure you have the following details ready; Index Number, Date of Birth and Examination Year. Once you have these, follow the steps below to check your status.
Steps to Check your WAEC Malpractice Status
1. Visit the WAEC Irregularity System, here at https://irreg.waecgh.org/
2. Select “Candidate Login”
3. Enter your details (Index Number, Date of Birth and Year of Exam)
4. Click on the “Login as Candidate” button to check status
Once logged in, your dashboard will display your examination malpractice status along with your full name, index number, examination year and school details.
If an irregularity record is displayed on your dashboard, review our guide on what to do when waec results withheld. Keep in mind that an irregularity status does not automatically mean you’ve been found guilty of exam malpractice. The case may still be under investigation and WAEC will communicate the final decision after the necessary review has been completed.
