But before we get to the steps, it helps to understand what the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) mean. CSSPS is used to place graduated BECE candidates to Public Senior High Schools, Senior High Technical Schools and TVET institutions in Ghana.

This year the system allows candidates to select eight schools in their order of preference, along with their programme choice and whether they want to study as a day student or boarder. Per the guidelines, students could select a maximum of two schools under Category A, a maximum of three schools under Category B and the rest from Category C.

Also, the placement is not decided by aggregate alone. The CSSPS considers your programme choice, your preference for day or boarding, as well as the vacancies available at the selected school.

If you don’t know your aggregate score, find out how to calculate your BECE aggregate score.
