Steps to register your NovDec

To begin your 2026 novdec registration, simply follow the step-by-step instructions below.

Step 1: Start with Biometric Capture

Before you can begin your online application, you must visit a designated internet cafe to have your fingerprints captured. The biometric data is mandatory before starting your novdec registration process.

Step 2: Create your online Profile

Once your biometric data is captured, visit the official WAEC registration portal at https://waecgh.org/ or go straight to the Central registration portal at https://unified.ghanawaec.org/

  • Select the link with exam series you want to register (ie., WASSCE PRIVATE FIRST SERIES or WASSCE PRIVATE SECOND SERIES)
  • You will need to create a profile using a valid email address and password.
  • Provide security information, such as security question to ensure you can access your account in the future.
Step 3: Enter Personal Information

At this stage you will be asked to provide your bio-data, which include your full name (Surname first), date of birth, region, contact details and disability (if any).

Step 4: Upload documents
  • Upload a recent passport-sized photo (160 x 200 pixels) with a plain white or off-white background. Make sure both ears are visible and you are not wearing spectacles or sunglasses.
  • Attach a digital signature with the required dimensions of 250 x 150 pixels.
Step 5: Select your subjects

You are allowed to select eight subjects, usually four core and four elective subjects. The cost of registration depends on the number of subjects you choose:

  • 6 or more subjects: GH₵ 856.96
  • 5 subjects: GH₵ 810.00
  • 4 subjects: GH₵ 760.20
  • 3 subjects: GH₵ 703.72
  • 2 subjects: GH₵ 670.12
  • 1 subject: GH₵ 635.74

Subjects with oral, practical or project components (like English, French or Food & Nutrition) attract extra fee.

  • Subject with practical test/component: GH₵ 92.00
  • Subject with practical work/component: GH₵ 92.00
  • Subject with oral test/component: GH₵ 88.00
Step 6: Payment of Registration Fees

After selecting your subjects, submit the form to generate an invoice. Print the registration invoice and take it to any of the designated banks such as Agriculture Development Bank (ADB), Zenith Bank, Ecobank, Bank of Africa, United Bank of Africa (UBA), Prudential Bank, Access Bank or Consolidated Bank Ltd to make payment.
